Synopsis
Connections is a memoir about the special connection Jenny shared with her sister Maureen.
After losing her sister, and in the depths of despair, Jenny took on the Santiago de Compostela (commonly known as ‘The Camino’) – a 500-mile trek across the North of Spain. Here the astounding power of music was revealed to her in such spectacular fashion that it helped transcend both her loss and grief and reconnected her with life.
Only a few short years later, when other family tragedies struck, the author embarked on her second Camino, and this remarkable gift of the universe was repeated and provided her with yet more proof of the healing power of music and its positive affirmation of life.
The story is interwoven with song references, and some of music’s other therapeutic effects are mentioned at the end.
